In particular, I am interested in understanding the structure of multi-objective search spaces and leveraging theis information to consturct better search and optimization algorithms for mulit-objective problems. * Multi-task Machine Learning * Hyperheuristics – algorithms that observe and react to perceieved properties of a search space and adapt their behavior during the search accordingly. * Machine learning algorithms and applications * Reinforcement learning * Functional programming ## Grants and Awards * _Large Scale Machine Learning for Simultaneous Heterogeneous Tasks_, (EU Marie Curie CIG: 304210). Principle Investigator. Collaboration with Kristinn Þórisson, Reykjavík University, Charles Anderson, Colorado State University.
